Start with the outside of your house, better known as your curb appeal. Take a fresh look at the outside of your house from a street perspective. What do you notice first? What great features seem to fade into the background?
Acknowledging this assists us in determining what measures we can take to invite buyers from the street and into your house. If your home's exterior isn't up to par with retouched paint and bright greenery we'll need to address those as well. Follow the Curb Appeal Checklist and boost your home's final selling price.

Make yourself at home...
Does your home seem to say, "Hello From Your New Welcome Home" to a buyer? Touring your house with a buyer's eye, I'll recommend adjustments that build up sales appeal.
I'll help you put out of sight pieces that give the impression of clutter. Counter tops should be cleared off. Knickknacks, souvenirs, family photos, and kids' works of art should get stored away too. You need to "generalize" the home so buyers can imagine it as their new house.
Every room gets a once-over. Changes that directly affect your dollars include easy-to-fix items like furniture pieces that should be rearranged, rooms that need neutral paint, carpet that needs steaming, fixtures that need polishing, and windows that need cleaning.
I'll ensure your home is neutral and that it's welcoming, steering clear of "offensive" or "can't-work-with" colors on the walls and furniture. And if none of your belongings are there, you can think about temporary furnishings. The goal is for your house to look ready to live in as opposed to empty.

Setting the Stage
You'll know when to host an Open House, because all of the changes come together to create a picture of what buyers can look forward to after they close on your house.
Dark rooms can really dampen a buyer's spirits, so we'll do things like open curtains and change light bulbs where needed to show off your property. Together we'll enhance the ambiance with enjoyable music to listen to while guests experience your home and ensure a nice aroma circulates from every area. We'll incorporate cozy-looking throws, and place pillows on your couch and bedding. We want buyers to feel like your home is their future home.
